The Manual CSV Student option is for importing student files. This is the most efficient way to add students in bulk into the system. The file that you import has to be an excel file in .CSV format (comma delimited). The import can be activated by contacting Support or Implementation to assist with the setup.
The Manual CSV Student import has to be enabled in the Settings - Imports - Import Users Settings - Students - CSV.
A student import file has 6 fields that are required to be able to import the file, every other field is optional. The 6 required fields are Student ID, Student First Name, Student Last Name, Student Site, Student Grade Level, and Student Status. The Template button will export a sample heading file of the fields that can be imported.
To upload a file, you will click in the box to select file to upload or you can drag the file into the box. Then click on Save to start the import process. You will be able to see the import Status throughout the process.
When the import process has completed, the status will change and the links will update based on the number of records that were created, updated or unchanged. If errors were found, the links under those headings will also update.
If you click the Logs button in the top right, it will show you the imports that were performed. You can also pull the file that was imported for each of them too by clicking the File link on the right side (See Below).
